After a couple of weeks at home, last week I was invited to beautiful South Tyrol with Daisy Jewellery– for a few days in the north, celebrating the launch of their beautiful healing stones collection (but more on this very soon)…

With the area being known for it’s wealth of natural minerals and springs- the two felt perfectly intertwined amongst the traditional Mediterranean and alpine backdrop- and I couldn’t have felt more excited for a trip with some of my favourite women in such a dreamy setting.

There’s no doubt that Italy is somewhere that always feels like you’d imagine it would in films. Like New York and the drive from JFK across the bridge and that unforgettable Manhattan skyline- it oozes something quintessentially Roman Holiday about it- with tables adorned with wine, pasta and bread in courtyards, the blur of winding roads connecting town to town- and something endlessly romantic about the language and the history of it too.

So, with our first lunchtime being spent at the idyllic Alois Lageder Vineria Paradeis in Magrè- we couldn’t have asked for a more picture perfect location (even if the wine tasting wasn’t applicable to yours truly). With fragrant lemon and pomegranate trees lining the courtyard, and gates to the historic home overlooking the tables and umbrellas, it felt miles away from the traditional British summertime we’d left behind for the week. Inside we peeped around the home, with walls plastered with untouched 17th century wallpaper and something overly tranquil and magical about the whole location.
